The carbon cycle is the cycle by which carbon is exchanged between the, biosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere of Earth.

Consists of:

1.    Atmosphere

2.     The Terrestrial Biosphere 

*Freshwater systems

*Non-living organic material  (soil carbon)

3.     The Oceans

*Dissolved inorganic carbon

*living and non-living marine biota

4.      The Sediments

* Fossil Fuels
